I opened my eyes to find six faces looking at me. Right, this was scary. Where the fuck am I? I remembered quickly, my father’s house. Harry’s wife and the other woman got up and asked me if I wanted something to drink but walked away before I could answer. A minute later they came back with coffee for everyone, nice I could sober up a little. ‘’I’m Tessa, Toms wife and this is Erika, Harry’s wife. You know the other names I guess?’’ the strange woman said. I nodded and looked around again, the place was huge. Suddenly James ran into the living room and stood still in front of me. ‘’James, I told you to stay in the kitchen!’’ Erika said. James didn’t react and kept looking at me. ‘’Do you have more weird smelly cigarettes?’’ He asked me. I laughed and told him I didn’t have more and I had to buy some new ones. He nodded heavily like he agreed with me when one of the girls walked in, well walked… ‘’I’ll take them home. Tessa, I’ll take Jake too.’’ She took the two kids into the kitchen and not much later I heard a door close.

‘’Shouldn’t you say something or something?’’ I asked Danny who was still silent. He didn’t answer and just kept staring at me, weirdo! ‘’So, what are you doing here?’’ Harry asked me. ‘’Well, my mom and I don’t get along so I wanted to leave but she didn’t let me. She told me I could leave if I would come here so I did.’’ I said. ‘’But why did you? I mean, so suddenly,’’ Tessa asked. ‘’You don’t wanna know, but since you asked. I googled the band and saw they were still performing so I thought they wouldn’t be home much and I could go my own way.’’ I answered. Silence…Laughter…Laughter? ‘’What’s so funny?’’ I asked them but they kept laughing. ‘’Lets get to the point, can I stay here or what?’’ I asked. Danny didn’t say anything so I knew enough, I grabbed my bag and walked to the door. ‘’No drinking, no smoking and definitely no drugs,’’ he suddenly said. Okay, that was the one thing I didn’t want to hear and didn’t expect to hear. Well, it couldn’t be worse then at my mothers and I could always sneak around with my druggies. I turned back around and threw my bag on the floor ‘’Honey, I’m home!’’ I yelled and sat back down in the chair. ‘’Hey, we’ve got ourselves a babysitter!’’ Harry suddenly said. I looked at him confused and he told me they had to go to a fancy party tomorrow but they had no one to look after the kids. I thought about his wife’s behaviour towards me and the scared look in her eyes and laughed. ‘’Do you really think your wife is going to let me anywhere near your kids?’’

Tessa brought me up to one of the spare bedrooms and showed me the bathroom, I took a quick shower and laid down on the bed. I snuggled into the pillow and soon I fell asleep. A couple of hours later Tessa woke me up again and told me to come downstairs for dinner. I put on my baggy jeans and an oversized hooded sweater and walked downstairs where everybody was already sitting at the table. Not only the six grownups but also James, Hannah and Emma and a boy I hadn’t seen before. I sat down on the empty chair, which was far away from Danny’s, and looked at the glass of water and aspirins in front of me. I didn’t need aspirins, a headache... Come on, I needed to take more shit to create a headache. I saw Erika smiling at me and immediately knew she was the one who put it there so I smiled back and downed the aspirins.

After dinner Erika and Tessa went home with the kids and I didn’t really want to be here anymore. I liked it better when they were here ‘cause I didn’t really like hanging out with four strange guys. I got nervous so I got up and started to clean the table, I walked into the kitchen and put the plates in the sink. I leaned against the fridge and slid down against it, my head soon disappearing in my hands. What did I do? Why did I come here? I am so incredibly stupid! ‘’You okay?’’ a voice asked and the person walked into the kitchen. I quickly wiped away my tears and looked up, hoping it wasn’t Danny but it was. ‘’I’m fine!’’ I said and send him a small smile. ‘’Do you want the guys to leave?’’ he asked carefully. If they would leave we would be alone and that would be strange. ‘’No, it’s okay’’ I sighed and got up. When I walked passed him, towards the living room, his hand touched my shoulder lightly and I turned towards him. ‘’I am glad you’re here Amy,’’ he whispered. I nodded and walked into the living room where the other three were sitting in front of the TV. The two chairs were taken so I sat down on the couch, next to Dougie.

Tom shut the TV off and I knew what that meant, the all turned to me and waited. ‘’You really think I’m going to talk?’’ I asked grinning. ‘’You talked a lot, earlier,’’ Dougie joked. ‘’Dude, I was high. You give me a joint and I’ll talk’’ I laughed. That joke wasn’t funny, no one laughed. ‘’Ask a question and I’ll answer it,’’ I said. ‘’You don’t listen to crappy music, that’s what you said right,’’ Tom said. ‘’Wow, don’t take it personal! No, I don’t listen to your music ‘cause I don’t like you guys,’’ I said. That sounded really weird. ‘’What do you mean?’’ Harry asked. ‘’If everyone is whining about this band over and over again and people only talk to you ‘cause they want to fuck around with one of you guys…’’ I said and looked around. ‘’So your friends like us?’’ Tom asked. ‘’Friends? I don’t have friends. Oh yeah, I do. They are in my bag,’’ I grinned. Another stupid joke, I know I’m not funny but it is ‘cause I don’t socialize. ‘’Yeah, about that...’’ Danny said and looked at me. I grabbed my bag from behind the couch and started to empty it. After ten minutes all my cigarettes, drugs and alcohol was on the table and the guys were staring at it.

‘’So you are?’’ Dougie asked. ‘’I am…Oooh! I’m a junkie yes!’’ I said smiling. Probably not smart to start smiling but I didn’t mind being addicted. ‘’And with that you mean? How often do you use?’’ Danny suddenly asked. ‘’Hmm, I drink everyday, probably two bottles. Couple of joints a day and further cigarettes. And off course stronger stuff at party’s every weekend.’’ I said casually. ‘’How do you pay for all of that?’’ Dougie asked. ‘’You don’t wanna know,’’ I giggled. ‘’Yes, I do want to know,’’ Danny said firmly. ‘’Okay, chill! I don’t go to school so I work,’’ I said. ‘’And your job is…’’ Danny asked. ‘’…None of your business’’ I answered. ‘’Amy!’’ Danny said angrily. ‘’If you are going to start acting all daddy-ish on me right away then I’m out of here!’’ I almost yelled. He was making a big mistake, he was playing me and I didn’t like it. I grabbed a pack of cigarettes from the table and walked outside, I fell down on the grass and lighted a cigarette. This was going to be harder then I thought. After I finished my cigarette I walked back inside and went to the spare bedroom immediately, I was not in the mood for more questions. I fell asleep and didn’t notice the guys downstairs talking all night long.
