Why Did You Mess With Forever?

Okay...This is a Stanalone i've posted on Refresh, and Miley - You've already read it XD
Ayways, i just wanted to post it here aswell. It's pretty short, and i wrote it for a friend over at Refresh.
But i hope yu enjoy it anyway (:

I sit on the porch, still waiting for you.
You said you would come back to me, someday.
Why did you leave in first place? Didn’t you love me enough?

Though the sky is beginning to turn dark, I’m not willing to go inside.
I sit still until the break of dawn, as I fall asleep I dream of you.
I dream of your face and your voice.

*Flashback*

“Where are you going? “ I asked as I watched him pack his bag quickly.

“I have to leave, I have to..” He said with a low voice that cut into my heart.

“Why..? What happened?” I asked wrapping myself into the warm and soft covers.

“They're after me... I’m not safe here, neither are you, Amy” He said staring me in the eye.

“But what about us? What about forever?” I whispered feeling a tear roll down on my cheek, making my eyes shiny.

“I can’t, I’ll be back. Someday, I promise” He said dropping the bag on the floor, putting his arms around me.
I felt the shivers down my spine and the warmth he gave me, made me calm.

“I love you..” I whispered into his ear softly as he slowly let go of my body.

“I love you too” He gave me a final kiss before storming out the door. I heard the car driving away, and he was gone.
To be back someday.

*End of flashback*

I stand up to walk inside again. Just as I am about to open the door someone calls out my name.
I turn around and I spot a man walk down the street.
His face is familiar and I freeze. This is the man I’ve been waiting for.

“Amy!” He yells and runs up to me.

“Dougie?” I ask feeling my heart beat faster and faster.

“Yeah, I’m back” He whispers into my ear as he wraps his arms around me.

“I thought you were gone” I say as he takes my hand in his, gently lacing them together.

“Never..” He chuckles and gives me a soft kiss before we enter the house hand in hand.

That’s when I wake up, realising that it’s all a dream. Every night, the same dream of you.
You never came back…Why did you mess with forever?
